GRAHAM Norton is joined on the sofa this week by Peter Capaldi, Miranda Hart, Warren Beatty, Keeley Hawes and Jennifer Hudson.
So what can we expect from his guests and what might they chat about?
Who is on The Graham Norton Show tonight?
Peter Capaldi
Peter Capaldi will discuss the latest series of Doctor Who, which begins this Saturday night on BBC One.
It’s set to be Capaldi’s last series in the Tardis as he leaves the show ahead of Steven Moffat’s creative handover to new showrunner Chris Chibnall.
Much like the Doctor himself, production of the series is often shrouded in mystery, with very little information getting out ahead of time – but Graham will be hoping to eke out some of the details from his famous guest.
Whovians are already excited about the return of The Master, played by John Simm, in the upcoming series. He was last seen taking over the world and doing battle with David Tennant in an epic three-part episode.
Fans will be hoping to learn more secrets of the new series tonight – and learn about why Capaldi is leaving, his hotly anticipated regeneration, and his replacement in the title role.
Miranda Hart
Miranda Hart is a comedian best-known for her self-titled sitcom Miranda, in which she plays an exaggerated version of herself, navigating romance, relationships and awkward situations.
Besides comedy, she has also made a name for herself as a serious actress in Call The Midwife, playing the role of Chummy to rave reviews and winning herself a ton of acting awards.
Fans of the sitcom have been clamouring for another series of Miranda since it went off the air in 2014, so Graham may have questions about whether this is a realistic prospect.
But Miranda will be most interested in talking about her starring theatre role. She will play nasty Miss Hannigan in the musical Annie on the West End – her theatre acting debut.
Theatre fans – and Miranda’s own fans – have wondered what her singing performance will be like and how she will take to the new medium.
Miranda is currently in rehearsals for the show, which opens on May 24.
Warren Beatty
Warren Beatty will also be on the sofa with Graham, talking about his new film Rules Don’t Apply.
Rules Don’t Apply, released in November 2016, bombed at the box office in the US, although lead actress Lily Collins was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance.
The film is set in Hollywood in 1958, and follows the development of an illicit relationship between aspiring actress Marla and her driver Frank, despite the fact relationships between employees of their film studio is banned.
Warren Beatty is also known for Bonnie and Clyde, Heaven Can Wait, Shampoo, and Dick Tracy.
Beatty has been nominated for fourteen Academy Awards during his long and productive film career, and has produced many of the films he stars in – so he is sure to have some amazing stories to tell.
Keeley Hawes
Keeley Hawes is well-known as the star of Ashes To Ashes, playing DI Alex Drake who wakes up in 1981 after being shot in 2008.
She is also known for roles in Spooks and Upstairs Downstairs, and as the voice of Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider games.
More recently, Keeley played Gemma Webster in The Missing– the mum of missing Alice Webster who had always wanted her daughter back, until she turned up and Keeley’s character thought something was off.
On the show tonight, Keeley is set to discuss the new series of The Durrells, based on the autobiography of Gerald Durrell and his account of his family’s move to Corfu in 1935.
Keeley plays widowed matriarch Louisa Durrell, who drags her four children away from their lives in Bournemouth to live on the Greek island of Corfu. The series follows her struggles to keep her four ‘unruly’ children in order and adapt to island life.
The second series of the TV drama begins on Sunday, April 23 on ITV and Keeley will be hoping she can convince Graham – and the viewers at home – that it’s well worth a watch.
Jennifer Hudson
Jennifer Hudson is an American pop singer, best known in the UK as a judge on The Voice.
She started out on American Idol, coming in seventh place on the series in 2004, before being cast as Effie White in movie musical Dreamgirls, winning the Oscar for Best Actress for her star performance.
Her self-titled first album went gold in 2009 and won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. Her second album was also certified gold, while single It’s Your World from her third album was nominated for a Grammy Award.
Hudson has also starred in The Color Purple on Broadway, TV special Hairspray! Live, and new Netflix film Sandy Wexler, alongside Adam Sandler.
She is now preparing to launch her fourth album and will perform her latest single, Remember Me, on the show tonight.
